FBG is committed to the safety and wellbeing of children and young people.

We respect and value the rights of all children and young people and support them to be involved in decisions that affect them.

As a Child Safe Organisation, we understand it is the responsibility of everyone to create an environment where children and minors feel safe and protected

Child Safety training is mandatory for all FBG staff and FBG’s trained Child Safety Support team is available to support staff with any queries.

Our Child Safety and Protection Policy ensures all FBG employee understand the National Child Safe Principles and adopt the correct strategies to promote child wellbeing and a safe work environment.

Our Child Safe Framework and Reporting Process aims to:

  • Create a safe workplace that reduces the likelihood of harm to children
  • Promote and continuously review child safety best practice
  • Ensure compliance with external reporting obligations

FBG’s Child Safety Charter and Posters invite children, young people, and others to contact FBG if they feel a younger person’s rights has been compromised, with respect to four factors:

  1. Respect
  2. Safety
  3. Participation
  4. Support
